The People Factor
The People Factor by Van Moody should be required reading for every teenager and young adult. Establishing healthy relationships is a critical component in your future outcome. So many times we tie ourselves down to relationships that anchor our souls to the depths of despair because we do not know how to tactfully say no. Most of our unhealthy relationships usually involve family members, so how do you avoid relationships with them? And is it biblical to do so? According to Pastor Moody, yes it is! It doesn’t mean excluding those family members, but it does mean limiting access to them. What if your toxic relationships are preventing you from receiving God’s best for your life? If you struggle with toxic relationships and want to learn how build healthy relationships, this book is a great tool. Learn the characteristics of what it means to be a good friend. Determine if you are living up to your own standards. Are you a Paul or a Barnabas? Is your concern what value people can add to your life or what value can you add to theirs? It is important to know that you may need to be both kinds in different seasons of your life.
