Who Do You Think You Are? by Mark Driscoll

Ever read something and feel like a power cord just connected your heart to your head? Where you have known something logically, but there was a gap between what you knew and what you felt? Who Do You Think You Are? Finding Your True Identity in Christ, by Mark Driscoll turned a light on in my heart so that I could "experience" what my head already knew. It was the mingling of knowledge and wisdom. Coram Deo, in the face of God, I can live free and know my identity. No more comparisons. No more doubts. No more fears. I am not my mistakes. I am not my failures. I am not my regrets. I am not my past. I am not my future. I am coram Deo. No more questions about who I am. I am "in Christ". Who are you? If you are saved, that is your identity also. You are "in Christ". I think that with all of our knowledge we try to convolute the issue and make it more complicated than it is. Don't be deceived either, you can bet that Satan plays a big part in keeping us confused. Author and Pastor, Mark Driscoll paints a beautiful picture as to what our true identity should look like. Is your fear in the Lord or in others? Mark Driscoll talks about the healthy fear as to desire not to disappoint Him and repent when we do. Is your standard of comparison Christ or people? Is your worth found in serving God or yourself or others? Is your security in faith in the Father or worldly things? Do you depend on time spent with Jesus or others? When we can answer Jesus to all of those, that is when we will experience our true identity. If you are a new Christian or a seasoned Christian, there is something in this book for you!
